The Velveteen Rabbit

Brooke and I took Addie and Jared to see The Velveteen Rabbit this afternoon at the Spokane Children's Theater. Brooke picked us up, and right away we knew it was going to be a special afternoon with the kids. Addie and Jared, both in carseats, carried on the cutest conversation in the backseat of the car--something about Santa Claus being dead.

We had a great time. The kids got autographs from several cast members, including the Velveteen Rabbit, the Fairy, and the Toy Doll, who also doubled as one of the Real Bunnies.

That was a cute picture. You guys made some beautiful memories.
It's so cute when the children are in their own little worlds and the things that they think about! Good example...Santa is dead and I am sure they are verbal that Jesus is alive! We have shared with the children that Santa is a true story many years ago and how Satan has made him stand out in this world but Jesus also is a true story and the real meaning of Christmas. We can have it all if we remind them of the true meaning of Christmas.
