oklahoma

It was difficult to pick only a few pictures to post, so here are about 60. :)

I'm one proud Auntie. And he's just about the cutest little thing ever!

kites

The girls made little kites in school today and had such a great time flying them outside!

new shirts, new dresses

I was able to spend last week in Oklahoma with Lizzie and her family (I'll post pictures soon!). The kids like it when I bring back surprises when I go on trips. I found a few things for them at Old Navy, like these Star Wars t-shirts for the boys.

The girls got pink and purple dresses and shoes which, in the '80's, were referred to as jellies.

And every girl wearing a purple dress and purple shoes needs lots of purple eye shadow...agreed?

their first "sleep over"

The kids were so excited one night when Phil told the kids they could sleep in each others' beds. They called this their first sleep over! Lily slept with Jared in his bed.

And Caleb snuggled in with Gracie in her bed.

yellow belt ceremony

We're so proud of the boys for earning their yellow belts in Taekwondo!

We didn't known that they'd earn medals, too!

Bye, bye white belts...

...time to try on those yellow belts!

Don't they look great?

before and after

Here are a couple of "after" pictures for this post.

And some of the girls' hair put up for ballet...

family hike and fish hatchery

Well, if anyone still reads my long-forgotten blog, here are a few posts. This past President's Day we packed a picnic lunch and took off for the hills for a family hike. The boys enjoyed throwing rocks into the river.

The girls insisted on wearing their tutus from Auntie Lizzie--not very practical, but it made for cute pictures.

This is Lily's Science journal. Throughout the day she would plop herself down on a rock or a log and "write down" her observations.

Buying fish food at the fish hatchery

Gracie was a bit cautious at first.
