waiting for the ice cream truck

The boys heard the ice cream truck in the neighborhood today during quiet rest time (which is really just the girls' nap time). They decided to sit on the front porch and wait for the ice cream man to drive by.

Still waiting.
Jared thought it would be a good idea if they prayed for him to come. He told Caleb to pray so he could keep his eyes open and watch for the truck.

He didn't come this afternoon, but he did come by tonight after dinner. Perfect timing...now the girls could have ice cream, too!

All four kids chose snow cones.
