Vacation Part 4: Beach Day

Vacation Part 3: Time with Family

Becky had a wonderful week planned for us. One of the things we enjoyed doing was visiting the animals at the Santa Ana Zoo.

Vacation Part 2: Arriving in Ontario, CA

I love my sweet Jared for being so concerned about the safety features on the aircraft. He just wanted to be prepared. Caleb was hoping for a rough landing so he could use the giant inflatable slide to exit the plane.

In the morning we'll be heading out the door for a family vacation.

Destination: Disneyland!

Our family has been blessed with an all-expense-paid trip (including airfare) to So. California and Disneyland. We've been counting the days and we're thrilled that tomorrow is the day!

The kids are excited to take along the hats that Auntie Emy brought back for them last Fall. The girls have never flown and the boys don't remember their "lap child" days, so this should be an adventure for all 6 of us. It was so much fun to pack these little surprise travel backpacks for them.

I'll make sure to take lots of pictures!

Phil made a "To-Do" list for this summer. One of the things he wanted to accomplish was to make a set of Adirondack chairs for the backyard. A funny thing happened today...we needed to ask our neighbor if Phil could borrow his truck tomorrow morning (our car needs a new radiator). Our neighbor needed to make a run to the dump before giving Phil the keys to the truck. And what was he getting rid of? Well, these chairs, among other things. He offered them to us!

What do you think? Doesn't it seem like kids should sit in them and eat ice cream cones?

Independence Day

We had a fun-filled Fourth of July this year, complete with friends...
